It turns out that a lot of the time, if you want to cook something seriously tasty you don’t actually need to buy loads of expensive ingredients.

 To prove this to you, we picked out 15 marvellously simple recipes. Each of them will let you cook up something delicious — and do it using just three ingredients.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees Celsius). Grease some muffin tins with butter. Mix together 20 oz (600 g) of shredded potatoes, green onions and 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese together in a bowl, then season with salt and pepper. Drizzle with oil and mix together thoroughly. Spoon mixture evenly into the muffin cups, pressing down gently to ensure each is full. Bake for 60-70 minutes until the each one turns brown on both sides.
