The impressive sculptures which can only be seen twice a day
A new art installation has been set up in London by British artist and underwater sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor: the four horsemen of the industrial apocalypse. Taylor had the idea of placing them in such a way so that they can be viewed in full up to two hours either side of low tide on the river Thames. He wanted people to think about climate change when they saw the installation, and perhaps do something right now to help fight it. The individual sculptures include two fat businessmen and two children – the latter being the future generation that will come up against ecological catastrophe. They all sit on horses who have heads which look like oil pumps.
When staring at this impressive, slightly creepy sight, you can’t help but grasp the message of the artist straight away – that we can all do something to make the world a better place for our children.
